In his solo-concerts, Schultze encounters himself as perceptive interpreter, improviser and maker of sound – known to many through the part he took as keyboarder with the bands PASSPORT and SNOWBALL – as well as equally impressive composer whose creations for film, television and the internationally highly successful formation CUSCO have been nominated for the Grammy three times.

Characteristic for him is the joy and depth of playing which he portrays on the grand piano as on the keyboard – his hypnotic soundscapes and especially created sound designs range from band-like, rhythmic grooves to epic, film music-like, symphonic playbacks. Overriding the boundaries of classical and entertainment music, Schultze moves gracefully between the genres of classic, jazz and pop.

Schultze unfurls the romantic, often even dramatically epic character of both his symphony-like constructed compositions as well as his memorable, song-like pieces by means of rich harmonic alignments and striking song lines. His musical works are the essence of over 40 years of compositional experience across almost all fields of music.
